Manually uploading receipts can be time-consuming. With Receipt capture and match, you and your team can forward your receipts to receipts@letsweel.ai and Weel AI will match it with the correct transaction.
Enable Receipt capture and match
Before you can start forwarding receipts, you’ll need to enable the feature in your account:
Go to Settings.
Select AI expense complete in the settings menu.
Under AI-powered receipt collection, enable Receipt capture and match.
Copy and paste the forwarding email address directly from the settings panel.
Email your receipts
Whenever you receive a receipt by email (for example, from a store, subscription service, or online purchase):
- Forward or send the email to receipts@letsweel.ai
- Make sure you send it from the same email address linked to your Weel account – this is how we know which user to assign the receipt to.
- Be sure to include the invoice attachment in your email (up to 3MB each, PDF, PNG, JPG accepted)
Note: This is a shared address for all Weel users, so anyone in your organisation can submit their receipts here.
What happens next?
- We receive the receipt – our system picks up the email and its contents.
- We match it – Weel AI matches the receipt to any of your expenses awaiting a receipt.
- You’ll see it in Weel – if a match is successful, the receipt will be automatically attached to the corresponding expense.
Tips for best results
- Ensure receipts are clear – forward emails with clear, legible receipt attachments.
- Use your registered email – always send from the email address linked to your Weel profile so receipts are assigned correctly.
- Attachments no larger than 3MB each – PDF, PNG, JPG accepted (note: GIF and TIFF not accepted)
