We've just released a new prevent self-approval setting to your approval rules to help keep them clear and secure.
This has resulted in a change to budget top-up auto-approval behaviour:
- Previously: Any top-ups requested by an Admin, Owner, or Budget Owner would be automatically approved.
- Now: Top-ups requested by Admins, Owners and Budget Owners will only be automatically approved if they are the approver in the Approval Rules.
If budget top-ups are no longer auto-approved for some users and you’d like them to be, please try the following:
- If your account does not have access to approval rules: Make these users budget owners where appropriate.
- If your account has access to approval rules: Create a new approval rule so that top-ups from these uses are approved by themselves (and keep prevent self-approval off)
