Signing up your business to Weel takes just a few minutes and unlocks smart spend management for your whole team. This article walks you through the sign-up and verification steps so you can get up and running quickly.
Before you start
You'll need to be a Director or authorised representative of the business to complete sign-up. If you are not a Director or equivalent, you will need a signed Letter of Authority before you can proceed.
It's also helpful to have the following on hand:
- Your work email address
- Your business ABN or ACN
- Details about your business stakeholders and ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs)
- A form of photo ID for identity verification
Steps
- Go to the Weel sign-up page
Navigate to app.letsweel.com/app/business-signup to get started.
- Enter your email address
Use your work email address. This will become your Weel login.
- Create a password
Choose a strong password. Note that passwords are case sensitive and will be used to log in to both the Weel web app and the Weel mobile app.
- Enter your personal details
Provide your first name, last name, and mobile number. International numbers are accepted if you are not located in Australia.
- Enter your business details
Provide your business name and ABN or ACN. Weel uses this to look up your business on the Australian Business Register and confirm your entity type.
- Click "Start Verification"
Like all financial products, Weel is required to verify your business to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws. This keeps the platform safe for you and your staff.
From here, you'll be guided through the remaining verification steps, which may include:
- Confirming details about your business stakeholders
- Declaring any ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) — individuals who own or control 25% or more of the business
- Uploading identity documents
- Providing a Letter of Authority if you are not a Director or equivalent
- Complete identity and business verification
Follow the prompts to verify your identity and business details. If Weel is unable to verify your identity using the primary information provided, you may be asked to supply a second form of ID.
- Submit your application
Once all required information has been submitted, your application will be reviewed. You'll receive an email confirmation once your account is approved and ready to use.
What happens next
Once your business is verified, you'll have access to your Weel account and can begin inviting team members, issuing cards, and setting up budgets. Your account will appear under the Weel web app dashboard.
If you need to add additional businesses to your account later, you can do this from Settings at any time.
Things to watch out for:
- Use your work email rather than a personal email to ensure a smooth onboarding and team recognition.
- If you are not a Director or equivalent of the business, make sure you have a completed Letter of Authority before starting — without it, you won't be able to complete sign-up.
- Verification times may vary. If your application is taking longer than expected, contact Weel support.
