A virtual corporate card is a Weel Visa card that lives in your phone instead of your wallet, and works like a plastic card. You can use it online almost anywhere, and in-store once added to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your card type decides where it works: the Primary Card supports in-store tap payments, Secondary Budget Cards are online-only.
How It Works
- Primary Card. Works online and in-store once added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, so you can tap to pay anywhere Visa contactless is accepted.
- Secondary Budget Cards. One per extra budget you're in, for online payments only; they can't be added to a wallet or tapped in-store.
- Switch budgets anytime. Change which budget your Primary Card draws from in the Weel app or web app whenever you need to.
- Pay online. Tap See card details in the Weel app, or open Payments → Cards on the web app, then enter the details at checkout.
- Tap to pay in-store. Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay yourself (it's not automatic), then hold your phone near the terminal to pay.
- Wallet support. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work; Samsung Pay doesn't, so use Google Pay on a Samsung device.
Good to know
- Card details. Shown in both the Weel app and the web app; on web, switch to your individual view to see your own full card details.
- PIN for contactless. Some terminals ask for a PIN on higher-value contactless payments, so it's worth setting your card PIN up ahead of time.
