Add your Weel card to Apple Wallet or Google Pay to tap and pay in-store from your phone, with no physical card needed. Your card then works at most merchants that accept contactless (Tap and Go) payments.
Before you start
- Install the Weel mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Your card must be active. If it's frozen or cancelled, the add-to-wallet option won't appear; unfreeze the card or contact your admin.
- Have a stable internet connection.
Steps
Start from the Card tab in the Weel app. Either tap the Add card to Apple Wallet or Add card to Google Wallet banner above your card, or tap the cog icon, select Manage your card, then Setup virtual card. Both open the same flow.
Add your card to Apple Wallet (iPhone)
- Open the Card tab and start the flow using either option above.
- On the "Let's add your Weel card to your Apple Wallet" screen, tap Add to Apple Wallet.
- Tap Next on the Add to Apple Wallet screen.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
- On the card verification screen, choose Text Message and tap Next.
- Enter the verification code Apple sends by SMS.
Steps 3 to 6 use Apple's own Wallet screens.
Add your card to Google Wallet (Android)
- Open the Card tab and start the flow using either option above.
- On the "Let's add your Weel card to your Google Wallet" screen, tap Add to Google Pay.
- Tap Add.
- Enter your personal details and tap Continue, using your business address.
- Tap More, then Accept on the issuer terms screen.
- Choose Text Message to verify the payment method and tap Continue.
- Enter the verification code Google sends and tap Continue.
Steps 3 to 7 use Google's own Wallet screens.
Set your card PIN
A PIN can be requested for some in-store purchases, so set one up. The app offers this after you add your card, or use the Card tab's cog icon under Manage card PIN at any time.
- On the "Let's set your card PIN" screen, tap Set PIN.
- Enter a 4-digit PIN on the Create card PIN screen. Avoid easy-to-guess combinations like 1111 or 1234, or your birth date.
- Re-enter the same PIN on the Confirm card PIN screen.
- You'll see a confirmation that your card PIN has been set.
You don't need an SMS code; enter the PIN directly in the Weel app.
What happens next
You only need to add your card once. To pay in-store, open your wallet app, select your Weel card, and hold your phone to the reader.
If you're later issued a physical card, its details differ from your virtual card, so remove the old wallet entry and re-add the new card using the steps above. If your card won't add at all, use Add to wallet manually under the cog icon.
