If your Weel card won't add to Apple Wallet, work through the checks below to find and fix the cause.
Work through these checks
-
Confirm your iPhone supports Apple Pay.
- iPhone 5 and earlier don't support Apple Pay. You can still use your Weel card for online payments, but you'll need an iPhone 6 or later to pay in-store.
-
Confirm your card isn't frozen.
- A frozen card disables both Setup virtual card and Add to wallet manually. Cards freeze if they're reported lost or stolen, or if an admin freezes them manually.
- Only an admin can unfreeze a card, so ask your admin, or unfreeze it yourself if you're the admin, then try again.
-
Check whether your card's already added.
- Open Apple Wallet: if your Weel card's there, you're set.
- Setup virtual card (Card tab > cog icon > Setup virtual card) also detects an existing card automatically, with a shortcut to view it.
-
Connect to WiFi or mobile data.
- Adding a card to Apple Wallet needs a stable internet connection.
-
Check with your IT team if you're on a work phone.
- Company-issued phones sometimes need IT to unlock them before you can add a card.
Add your card manually
If the checks above don't solve it, add your card manually:
- Open the Card tab in the Weel app.
- Tap the cog icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Add to wallet manually.
- Tap Get card details.
- Tap the icon next to your card number to copy it.
- Open Apple Wallet, tap + in the top right corner, then tap Continue.
- Tap Add card details manually, then paste the card details you copied.
