How to add your card to Apple Wallet and Google Pay

Adding your Weel card to Apple Wallet or Google Pay lets you tap and pay in-store instantly — no physical card needed. Once set up, your Weel card works at most merchants that accept Tap and Go.

Before you start

  • You'll need the Weel mobile app installed on your device. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Your Weel card must be active and ready to set up (you'll see a banner in the app when it is).
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection before starting.
     

How to add your card to Apple Wallet

To add your Weel card to Apple Wallet:

  1. Open the Weel mobile app
  2. Open the Card tab

  3. Tap on the banner 'Your Weel card is ready to setup'.

  4. Tap Add to Apple Wallet
  5. The Apple Wallet add card flow will open up
  6. Tap Next on Add to Apple Wallet screen
  7. Agree to the terms and conditions
  8. On the screen that says card verification select Text Message and tap Next in the right-hand corner
  9. Apple Wallet will send a verification code via SMS - enter the verification code
  10. You will then be prompted to Set a PIN for the card. Select Set PIN
  11. Another SMS verification will be sent to your mobile device - enter the verification code
  12. Enter the New PIN and Confirm PIN by re-entering in the same PIN.
  13. Press Submit
  14. A prompt will let you know this has been successfully updated.

You will only need to add your Weel card to your Apple Wallet once. When you're ready to make an in-store payment open the Apple Wallet app and select your Weel card.

The PIN may be required for making purchases over $100.

 

How to add your card to Google Pay

To add your Weel card to Google Pay:

  1. Open the Weel mobile app
  2. Open the Card tab

  3. Tap on the banner "Your Weel card is ready to setup"

  4. Tap Add to Google Wallet
  5. The Google Pay add card flow will open up
  6. Tap Add
  7. Enter your personal info and tap Continue (use your business address as the address)
  8. Tap More and Accept on the issuer terms screen
  9. Select Text Message to verify payment method and tap Continue
  10. Enter verification code and tap Continue
  11. Close the Google Pay screen and it should redirect you to set a PIN for the card. Select Set PIN
  12. Another SMS verification will be sent to your mobile device - enter the verification code
  13. Enter the New PIN and Confirm PIN by re-entering in the same PIN.
  14. Press Submit
  15. A prompt will let you know this has been successfully updated.

You will only need to add your Weel card to Google Pay once. When you're ready to make an in-store payment open the Google Pay app and select your Weel card.

What happens next?

Your Weel card will appear in your Wallet and is ready to use straight away. To make an in-store payment, open your device's Wallet app, select your Weel card, and hold your phone over the card reader.

You only need to do this once — your card will remain in the Wallet unless it's removed manually.

  • Note: A PIN may be required for purchases over $100. If you need to set up or change your PIN, go to the Card tab in the Weel app, tap the cog icon in the top right corner, and select Manage card PIN.
  • Received a physical card? Your virtual card details will change when a physical card is issued. You'll need to remove the old card from your device's Wallet and re-add your new card using the steps above.
