An authorisation is a small charge processed by some merchants to determine if a card holds sufficient funds and is approved to purchase from a merchant. Authorisations are first charged whenever a cardholder attempts to purchase a good or service through a debit or credit card.
Merchants who charge authorisations will reverse them after several days. Once this is complete Weel will remove the authorisation charge from your transaction history and your accounting software on the day that it is reversed.
Please note that authorisation transactions are subject to the Card Blocking feature. If this feature is enabled, the authorisation transaction should be completed to avoid your card being blocked. Once the transaction has been reversed by the merchant, it will be reversed out of the account.
