Update the email address you use to log in to Weel, which also acts as your Weel username, from the web app or the Weel mobile app.
Before you start
- If your organisation uses Single Sign-On (SSO), the Email Address field is disabled on both web and mobile. Contact your account administrator to update it instead.
Steps
On the web app
- Click the cog (Settings) icon in the top-right corner of the header.
-
Select Account settings from the dropdown menu.
- You'll land on the Profile tab, shown by default.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Enter your new Email Address.
- Click Update Profile to save your changes.
On the mobile app
- Tap the menu button in the top-left corner.
- Tap Profile.
-
Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner to enter edit mode.
- The icon changes to a close (X) icon while you're editing; tapping it then cancels your changes instead of saving them.
- Enter your new Email Address.
- Tap Save, the full-width button fixed to the bottom of the screen.
What happens next
Your email updates immediately, with no confirmation link to click. As a security check, Weel sends a notification email to your old address confirming the change. You can't switch to an email that's already in use on another Weel account - you'll see a generic error rather than one confirming the address is taken. If you're locked out or unsure which email is on file, contact your account admin or Weel Support.
