Reset your Weel password from the mobile app or website in a few steps, whether you're locked out or just want a fresh one.
On the Weel mobile app
-
On the login screen, tap Forgot password?, which sits directly below the login button.
- This opens a window straight away. There's no separate "Need help" screen to tap through first.
- Enter the email address you use to sign in to Weel. If you'd already started typing it on the login screen, it's pre-filled.
- Tap Reset password.
-
You'll see a message confirming a reset email is on its way to your address. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
- If your business uses Single Sign-On, you'll see a note here instead, letting you know your password can't be reset this way. See "If your business uses Single Sign-On (SSO)" below.
- Open the reset email and tap the link inside it. This opens the reset page in your device's browser, since creating your new password happens on the Weel website, not in the app.
- Enter a new password that meets the requirements shown on screen.
- Tap Create password.
- You'll see a "Password reset" confirmation with a Login with new password button. Use it, along with your email address and new password, to log back in.
On the Weel website
- Go to the Weel login page.
- Click Forgot password?, which appears below the login form.
- Enter the email address you use to sign in to Weel.
- Click Reset password.
-
You'll see a message confirming a reset link is on its way to your email (check your spam folder if you don't see it).
- If your business uses SSO, you won't see this confirmation at all. See "If your business uses Single Sign-On (SSO)" below.
- Open the email and click the reset link inside it.
- On the "Reset your password" page, enter a new password that meets the requirements shown on screen.
- Click Create password.
- You'll see a "Password reset" confirmation with a Login with new password button. Use it, or return to the login page, and sign in with your email address and new password.
If your business uses Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your business signs in to Weel via SAML SSO or Xero SSO, Weel doesn't manage your password. Authentication happens entirely through your SSO provider (or Xero), so self-service password reset doesn't apply to your account.
- On the website, the Forgot Password page tells you upfront and points you to your SSO provider instead.
- On the mobile app, you'll only see this message after you've entered your email and requested a reset.
If you sign in via Xero SSO and want to switch to a Weel-managed login and password, contact your account manager or Weel support.
If your reset link has expired
Reset links are valid for 30 minutes. If you open one after it's expired, you'll see a "Link expired" message. Tap or click Reset password again to restart the process.
Does resetting my password affect two-factor authentication?
No. Resetting your password doesn't change or reset your two-factor authentication (2FA) setup. If you're having trouble with your authenticator app specifically, see How to reset your authenticator app's connection to Weel instead.
