On the Approvals page, pending items show one of two tags:
- Pending your approval: Items that are waiting for you to approve or decline
- Pending approval: Items that are waiting for someone else to approve
Both mean the same pending state: Weel displays it based on who's looking. Approvals can go to a pool of people, so Pending approval doesn't mean one person is holding it up.
How It Works
- Multiple approvers: an approval can go to a pool of people; depending on your rules, any one or all of them must approve.
- My approvals / All approvals view: in the Pending tab, switch between seeing just your items or every pending approval across the business.
- Permission-gated visibility: the All approvals view needs the "View all approvals" permission, which Admins and Owners get by default.
- Backend-enforced, not cosmetic: without that permission, you can only ever pull your own approval items, even directly through the API.
- Web app only: the All approvals/My approvals view and its status tags aren't currently available in the Weel mobile app.
Good to know
- Same item, different label: one pending approval can show as Pending your approval to one admin and Pending approval to another, if only one of them is in the approver pool.
