Change how often you receive approval notifications, choosing instant alerts, a daily or weekly summary, or both, available on every plan.
- Open the Weel web app.
- Click the Settings cog icon in the top-right corner of the header.
- Click Account settings from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Profile tab.

In the Communication preferences section, use the toggles to turn Instant approval notifications and Scheduled approval summary on or off.
- If you turn on the scheduled summary, choose daily (sent at 9:00am) or weekly (sent Mondays at 9:00am).
What happens next
Instant approval notifications arrive by email and push as soon as there's something to approve. A scheduled summary arrives by email only, on the day and time you choose, whenever you have pending approvals.
You can turn on both together or just one, but you can't switch off approval notifications altogether. Turning one off automatically turns the other on, and which one comes back depends on which one you turned off:
- Turn off instant notifications with no scheduled summary set, and Weel turns on a daily scheduled summary for you.
- Turn off the scheduled summary while instant notifications are already off, and Weel turns instant notifications back on for you (not a new scheduled summary).
Either way, at least one stays active.
