ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments are electronic bank transfers used across the US for direct deposits, bill payments, and business transfers. In Weel, ACH is the local payment rail we use, via our banking partner Nium, to send Accounts Payable payments to US-based suppliers in USD. It's the option you'll use for most US suppliers.
How It Works
- Routing Number: A nine-digit code (also called an ABA number) that identifies your supplier's bank. Weel validates this field as exactly 9 digits.
- Account Number: Your supplier's unique bank account identifier. Weel accepts up to 17 alphanumeric characters, so details are entered correctly first time.
- Account Type: Choose Checking or Saving. Checking is the most common for bill payments; Saving is for holding funds and earning interest. Select Checking if unsure.
- SWIFT alternative: If a supplier can't receive ACH, Weel also supports a SWIFT wire for US payments, though it's slower and costs more.
- Cost and speed: ACH payments cost a flat $0.95 USD and typically arrive within 1 to 2 business days.
