Send an international bank payment through Weel's Accounts Payable tool by adding a supplier, entering payment and expense details, then submitting for approval.
Before you start
- Enough funds in your Weel account balance to cover the payment.
- Enough budget allocation left to cover the converted amount plus the FX fee.
Steps
- Go to Accounts Payable and select Make a payment.
-
Under Supplier Name, search for an existing supplier, or select Add new supplier.
- New supplier: fill in the required fields, including currency, payment method and country, plus the banking details shown (e.g. SWIFT, IBAN, which vary by method and country).
-
Click Save supplier.
- A new supplier isn't approved instantly. It's submitted for approval with your invoice payment, and becomes available for reuse once that approval goes through.
-
Complete Payment details, including your payment date.
- Same-day payments use the market FX rate available once approved. Future-dated payments use the rate Weel fetches when it processes them on that date, not the rate shown when you set the payment up.
-
Complete Expense details with the amount you want to send. Weel shows an estimated FX rate, converted amount, FX fee (0.95% for international bill payments) and total payment amount.
- These are estimates. Nium, Weel's banking partner, only confirms the final rate, fee and amount once the payment is approved and processed, so the amount you pay may differ slightly.
-
Click Save to submit the payment.
- Weel routes the payment, and any new supplier submitted with it, to your business's configured approver or approval chain.
