Export your transactions as a PDF for the period your auditor needs, with a running balance included as long as you filter by date only.
There's no separate "official statement" file: this PDF, exported with a date-only filter, is the most formal document Weel provides for showing your balance at a date or over a period.
Steps
- Go to Transactions.
-
Click Filter and set the Date filter to the exact period your auditor needs (for example, your financial year or audit period).
- Leave this as your only filter. Any other filter removes the balance columns from your export.
- Click Export at the top of the page.
-
Tick Export PDF in the export panel.
- This sits alongside Export CSV and Export Tax Invoices; only the PDF is generated as a statement-style document.
- Click Export inside the panel to start generating your file.
Important: only a date-only filter includes a balance. Add any other filter (merchant, budget, category, custom field, status, or a search term) and the PDF becomes a plain list of transactions (Date, Merchant, Debit, Credit, and a Totals row), with no Opening Balance, Closing Balance, or running balance column. Keep the Date filter on its own if your auditor needs a balance at a point in time, then run any narrower, filtered exports separately if you also need those.
Note: Only cleared transactions are included. Pending transactions (roughly the last 3-5 days) are left out of every export, PDF or CSV, until they clear, so don't be concerned if very recent activity is missing.
What happens next
Your PDF generates in the background, and a "ready to download" indicator with a download link appears in the same panel, so you don't need to leave the page; download it from there and share it with your auditor. If anything looks incomplete, check whether you added a filter beyond Date, which removes the balance columns, or whether recent transactions are still pending.
