Export a self-service PDF statement of your transactions, the same file recommended as your official statement for auditors and bookkeeping.
Steps
- Open the Transactions page.
- Apply any filters you want reflected in the export, such as a date range, budget, category, or card. Filtering before you export determines what's included.
- Select Export to open the export panel, which shows how many cleared transactions are currently in scope.
-
Tick the Export PDF checkbox.
- You can also tick Export CSV and/or Export Tax Invoices at the same time; they generate as separate files from the same request.
- Select Export again to start generating the file.
- Wait for the export to finish processing; once it's ready, the button updates to Download Export(s).
- Select Download Export(s) to save the file to your device.
What happens next
Your export runs in the background automatically, so there's nothing else to do until it's ready to download. If the PDF doesn't include the data you expected, check your active filters (especially the date range) and export again.
The PDF lists each transaction's Date, Merchant, and separate Debit and Credit columns in your account's default currency: a debit (money leaving your account) shows an amount in Debit and zero in Credit, and a credit (money coming back in, like a refund) does the reverse. It also includes a running Balance column when your only active filter is a date range (and/or your business); adding any other filter removes the Balance column.
GST, custom fields, transaction descriptions, and your company logo aren't included, and none of these can be customised today. Only cleared transactions are exported: pending ones can still change during the 3-5 days it takes to clear, and including them could make your export inconsistent if you run it again later.
