We are no longer able to accept funding from any external bank account where the bank account name does not match the Weel account name. This includes situations where a related entity - such as a parent or holding company - or an individual employee is used to fund the account.
This is part of a change by Nium, our underlying financial services provider, as part of their Anti-Money Laundering and risk controls and applies to all Weel customers.
If we have observed any account funding where the bank account does not match the Weel account name in the last 90 days, you may have already received a separate email from us with further information on how to manage this.
From 1 June 2026, any account funding where the bank account name does not match the Weel account name will automatically be rejected and returned to the original source, with an email notification provided to the Owner and Admins.
