Every Budget in Weel automatically tops back up to its set limit on a recurring schedule, so your team has predictable, hands-off access to funds each period. The reset day and time depend on the top-up frequency you've chosen for that Budget.
This is separate from requesting an early top-up, which needs approval.
How It Works
- Daily Budgets top up every day at 12am, so the limit is always fresh for high-frequency spending.
- Weekly Budgets top up every Monday at 12am, on a Monday to Sunday cycle.
- Fortnightly Budgets top up every second Monday at 12am, on a cycle anchored to when the Budget was created or last reset.
- Monthly Budgets top up on the first day of every month at 12am.
- Quarterly Budgets top up on the first day of each quarter (1 January, 1 April, 1 July, or 1 October) at 12am.
- Annual Budgets top up on 1 January every year at 12am.
- Financial Year Budgets top up on 1 July every year at 12am, matching the Australian financial year.
- Financial Year (April) Budgets top up on 1 April every year at 12am, used by some New Zealand businesses.
- One-time Budgets don't automatically top up at all. Once the limit is spent, it needs a manual top-up.
Good to know
- All reset times above run on Sydney time (AEST), no matter where your business is based.
- When a Budget tops up, spend resets and the available amount returns to its limit. If "Rollover unused funds to the next period" is turned on for that Budget, any unspent amount carries over on top of the new limit. Otherwise, it doesn't carry forward.
- This automatic schedule is different from requesting funds sooner. Check or change a Budget's top-up frequency anytime from the Budget's settings. If you need funds before the next scheduled reset, that needs approval, see How to request a budget top-up or How to do a one-off top-up to a budget.
