Requesting a budget top up in Weel allows you to increase the available funds on an existing budget when additional spend is required. Once submitted, the request is sent for approval based on your organisation’s approval rules.
Before you start
- You must be assigned to a budget to request a top-up.
- You will need access to the Weel mobile app.
- Note: Top-up requests always require approval. Your request will be routed to the appropriate approver based on your organisation's Approval Rules.
Steps
To request a budget top-up:
- Open the Weel mobile app.
- Open the Requests tab
- Tap the green + button
- Enter How much additional funds you need
- Enter What For so that your approver understands why you are making the request
- Select the Budget that needs the extra funds
- Tap Request
Your approvers will be notified by email and push notification.
You can track the status of your request from the Requests tab and will be automatically notified as soon as your request is Approved or Declined.
What Happens Next
Once submitted, your request will appear as pending until your approver takes action.
- If approved, your available budget limit will increase immediately and you will be notified by email and push notification.
- If declined, you will also be notified, and you can reach out to your approver or admin for guidance.
If your organisation's account balance has insufficient funds, the top-up may not be possible even after approval. Contact your admin if this is the case.
