Apple Pay offers multiple ways to authenticate payments, including Touch ID and passcode. This guide shows you how to turn off Touch ID for Apple Pay and use your device passcode instead.
Before you start
You’ll need access to your iPhone settings and have Apple Pay already set up with your Weel card.
Turn off Touch ID for Apple Pay
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Tap Face ID & Passcode.
Enter your device passcode.
Under Use Face ID For, toggle off Apple Pay.
You will no longer be prompted to use Touch ID to authenticate Apple Pay payments.
Pay using your passcode
Open Apple Wallet and select your Weel card.
Tap Pay with Passcode and enter your device passcode.
Hold your phone near the payment reader to complete the payment.
Apple Pay will now prompt you to authenticate payments using your device passcode instead of Touch ID. You can re-enable Touch ID for Apple Pay at any time in your iPhone settings.
