Editing a subscription in Weel lets you keep vendor, billing, coding, and ownership details accurate so future expenses are tracked correctly. If you’re new to subscriptions, start with Understanding subscriptions in Weel for an overview of how they work and when to use them.
Before you start
You’ll need a role that can edit subscriptions (for example, Admin or Accountant). If you can’t see the Edit option, check your permissions with your Weel administrator.
Steps
To edit your subscription:
- In the left-hand menu, click Subscriptions.
- Open the relevant subscription
- Click Edit
- If you don’t see an Edit button, click the ••• menu, then select Edit subscription.
- Update the fields you need, such as:
- What is this subscription called?
- Who do you want to have access to the card?
- What category should transactions be coded as?
- How are you billed for this subscription?
- What is the maximum amount?
- Notes (Optional)
- Click Update
Any changes made to the subscription will take effect immediately.
What happens next?
Your changes will apply to future subscription expenses only. Past transactions won’t be updated retroactively.
You can return to Subscriptions at any time to make further edits or review the subscription details.
To delete a subscription:
- Click Edit
- Click Delete Subscription
Your subscription card will close immediately and any charges in the future will be blocked. You can still view transactions made with the subscription card from the Transactions page.
