Review and action approval requests right from the Weel mobile app; see What are Approvals? for how approvals work overall.
The Approvals tab covers budget top-ups, subscription limit updates, reimbursements, card payments, and (on app version 1.69.0 or later) invoice payments.
Note: Purchase orders and batch payments never appear in the mobile app's Approvals tab, regardless of app version. Approve or decline those from the Weel web app instead.
Steps
- Open the Weel mobile app.
- Tap the Approvals tab. You'll see two sub-tabs: Pending, for items waiting on your decision, and History, for items you've already actioned.
- Under Pending, open the item you want to review.
- Tap Approve or Decline.
Declining an item
What happens next depends on how your business has approvals configured:
- On most accounts today, tapping Decline shows a confirmation alert explaining that declining on mobile won't let you add a comment or request changes, with the choice to Decline now, Open in web (to decline with a comment there instead), or Cancel.
- On accounts with the enhanced decline flow enabled, tapping Decline instead opens a panel where you choose between Request changes (sends it back to the requester with your comment) and Decline and archive (or Mark as declined for a card transaction, since the payment has already happened and can't be archived the way a bill or reimbursement can), with an optional comment either way.
What happens next
Once you decide, the requester's notification depends on what you approved or declined:
- Budget and subscription limit-update requests: the requester is always notified by both email and push notification, whether you approve or decline.
- Card payments: declining sends the cardholder both an email and a push notification. Approving sends no notification at all.
- Invoice payments and reimbursements: declining sends the requester an email (no push). Approving sends no notification at all.
Whatever you decide, the requester can track the status of their own request from the Requests tab in the mobile app. This is different from the Approvals tab, which is for items waiting on your decision, not theirs.
