Getting started as a Team Member doesn't involve downloading any setup files. Once you're invited and create your account, Weel walks you through getting the app, adding your card to your wallet, making your first payment, and completing your first expense.
How It Works
- Account Setup: Accept your email invite, then create your account with your name, mobile, DOB, and password. Full steps.
- Weel Mobile App: Get the app to pay with your card, capture receipts, and request budget top-ups; top-ups can't be requested from the web.
- Card Payments: Pay with your Weel card on any budget your Admin assigns you to.
- Expense Reports: Complete expense reports by adding receipts and details to your transactions.
- Wallet Setup: Add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with a guided step in the mobile app, and a manual fallback if needed.
- Personal Dashboard: Track your spend, budgets, assigned cards, and the status of anything you've submitted. More on your Dashboard.
Good to know
- You can't create or edit budgets, view the overall account balance, see other people's budgets or transactions, or change people or account settings; those are Admin (or custom role) permissions. If your business uses custom roles, check the People page or ask your Admin what access you've been given. See Understanding the different roles and access levels within Weel for the full breakdown.
- If your card doesn't add to your wallet automatically, the app prompts a manual add with on-screen instructions. Still stuck? See Why is my Weel card not adding to Apple Wallet? or Why is my Weel card not adding to Google Pay?.
- Payments can be declined if your budget's low or your card's blocked; check with your Admin or budget owner, then see How to troubleshoot a declined Weel card payment. Some in-store terminals also ask for a card PIN, so it's worth setting one up; see What happens if I'm prompted to enter a PIN?.
