Weel's Reimbursements feature can't pay a personal bank account in New Zealand, whether your business is registered in Australia or New Zealand. Payouts only support Australian BSB and account details in Australian dollars, and Reimbursements isn't yet available for New Zealand-registered businesses. To pay a New Zealand-based person instead, use Accounts Payable, which supports NZD and SWIFT payments.
How It Works
- Reimbursement payouts only support an Australian BSB, account number, and account name, paid in Australian dollars, with no option to enter overseas bank details.
- You need a valid Australian bank account on file before you can submit any reimbursement claim.
- Every reimbursement claim is capped at AUD $100,000 regardless of destination; contact Weel support if you need a higher limit for your business.
- Set a New Zealand-based person up as a payee under Accounts Payable instead, which pays NZD directly and wires to 17 countries including New Zealand.
- Reimbursements isn't yet available for businesses registered in New Zealand, regardless of where their people are based.
Good to know
- Bank details are self-service only. Only the person being paid can add or update their own account, in Settings > Profile; no admin, accountant, or support agent can do this for them, and there's no bulk-load or API option.
