When you add a stakeholder to your KYB application, you can send them a secure link to complete their own identity verification instead of entering their details yourself. This is useful if you don't have their ID or personal details to hand.
Steps
To send a stakeholder a verification request:
- On the Stakeholders step of your application, click Add a stakeholder.
- Select Individual stakeholder.
- Under Would you like to fill out the form or send the form to the stakeholder?, select Send to stakeholder.
- Enter their First name, Last name and Stakeholder email address.
- Optionally, Add a personal note. It appears at the top of the email they receive.
- Choose how to send it:
- Click Send to stakeholder and we'll email them the link.
- Or click Copy private link and share it yourself.
If a stakeholder is already listed, click Send to stakeholder on their row.
What happens next
Each stakeholder's status shows where they're up to:
- Sent to stakeholder — we've emailed them the link.
- Link copied — you've copied the link to share yourself.
- Completed by stakeholder — they've submitted their details.
We'll email you when a stakeholder completes their part.
Note: the link expires after 7 days. Entity stakeholders can't be sent a request, so you'll need to fill those out yourself.
If you've received a request
If a business has listed you as a stakeholder, you'll get an email from help@letsweel.com with a link to verify your identity. The person who sent it can't see the details you submit, and they go straight to Weel.
