Weel asks for a one-time verification code when you sign in, to confirm it's really you. Once you verify successfully, you can choose to have your browser remembered so you're not asked again, or to be asked every time. A handful of actions reset that remembered status, and understanding them explains why the prompt keeps reappearing.
How It Works
- Log out always resets it, even on a remembered device, so logging back in will ask for a code again.
- Resetting your password resets it too, since that signs you out and forgets the device you used.
- A new browser, device, or private/incognito window resets it, since the remembered choice lives in a browser-specific cookie.
- Clearing your browser's cookies has the same effect, since it removes that same cookie.
- Automatic sign-outs after inactivity don't forget your device, and neither do VPNs or network changes.
Good to know
- Admins and owners go through the exact same sign-in process; role doesn't make it stricter.
- There's no settings page to view or manage remembered devices. Choose Remember this device only on devices that are actually yours; the only way to reset one on purpose is to log out or reset your password.
- If you're prompted without trying to sign in, or you receive codes you didn't request, change your password and contact Weel Support straight away. Someone else may have your password.
