Install a TOTP-compatible authenticator app on your phone before you set up two-factor authentication (2FA).
Weel works with any TOTP-compatible authenticator app. Popular options include:

- 1Password
- Authy
Steps
On iPhone (iOS)
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for your preferred authenticator app (for example, "Google Authenticator").
- Tap Get, then tap Install.

Open the app once it's installed.
- You don't need to create an account to use it with Weel. Both apps let you add and store a code without signing in; signing in is only needed for optional cloud backup.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for your preferred authenticator app (for example, "Google Authenticator").
- Tap Install.
- Open the app once it's installed.
What happens next
Once your app is installed, connect it to your account by scanning a QR code or entering a setup key from inside Weel's Settings; see How to add an authenticator app as a verification method.
Keep your phone somewhere safe: if you lose access to it, you'll need to reset your connection to Weel before you can sign in again.
