View which Weel products a person can use (Cards, Accounts Payable, or Reimbursements), and add or remove them from User Management.
Steps
Payment Types determine which Weel products a person's account can use: Cards for budgets and subscriptions, Accounts Payable for invoice payments, and Reimbursements for personal reimbursement claims. A person can have any combination of these, including none.
You can check someone's current Payment Types on the People tab of User Management, where the Payment Types column shows an icon for each type assigned to them.
To add or remove a Payment Type
- Open the User Management page.
- Select the People tab.
- Click the person's row to open their edit panel.
- To add a type, open the dropdown under "What payment types can be used?" and choose Accounts Payable, Cards, and/or Reimbursements.
- To remove a type, click the close icon on the relevant tag under "What payment types can be used?".
- Click Update to save.
If someone is added to a budget without the Cards Payment Type, they won't receive a virtual Weel card. Add the Cards Payment Type using the steps above to issue it.
What each Payment Type means
- Cards: Issues a virtual Weel card once the person is added to a budget or subscription with Cards enabled.
- Accounts Payable: Lets the person create, approve, or pay bills and invoices.
- Reimbursements: Lets the person submit personal reimbursement claims for approval.
- No Payment Type: The person has a Weel account but can't use a Weel card, Accounts Payable, or Reimbursements.
How this affects your billing
This depends on your plan. On a current Basic, Premium, or Enterprise plan, your bill is based on the number of active people on your account each billing cycle, not on which Payment Types are switched on for them.
If you signed up before 25 November 2022, you may still be on a legacy Starter, Growth, or Scale plan, priced per person based on payment volume plus separate Accounts Payable and Reimbursements add-on fees; on those legacy plans, giving someone the Accounts Payable Payment Type can add to your invoice.
