If a login shows a previous employee's name after you reuse their email for someone new, here's how to correct it.
Before you start
- Only the person who logs in with that email can update their name. An Admin can't make this change for them from the People page.
Steps
On the web
- Click the Settings icon (cog wheel) in the top-right corner of the header.
- Select Account settings, then open the Profile tab.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Update First Name, Middle Name (or tick "I don't have a middle name"), and Last Name.
-
Click Update Profile to save.
- For the full Edit Profile screen, including email and phone number, see How to update your personal information.
On the mobile app
- Tap the menu icon, then tap Profile.
- Tap the pencil icon to enter edit mode.
- Update the name fields and tap Save.
What happens next
- Your new name applies right away, including on any cards you've already been issued and with our card-issuing partner. A card that's already been printed keeps its original name until you're issued a new one.
- If the name still isn't right after this, contact Weel Support.
- This doesn't affect identity or KYC records tied to the account, which always show the legal name regardless of any override.
