Bulk CSV invite lets you add a group of people to Weel in one upload, all under the same Role and Payment Types.
Steps
- Open the People page.
- Click Invite People.
- Select Bulk CSV invite.
- Use Quick Invite instead if you're inviting a handful of people, or need different roles for different people.
- Click Download our CSV template and follow its format: one
Emailcolumn, one address per row. - Fill in the template with the email addresses you want to invite. Keep the column heading as is, and check every address is valid - the whole file is rejected if any row fails.
- Drag and drop your completed CSV into the upload area, or choose it from your files.
- Files must be a CSV, under 2MB, and no more than 10,000 rows. An invalid file gets an inline error so you can fix and re-upload.
- Select the Role everyone in this file will get. All invitees in one upload share the same Role - use separate CSVs, or Quick Invite, for different roles.
- Select the Payment Types these invitees get (Cards, plus Accounts Payable and/or Reimbursements if they're enabled on your plan). Payment Types may add to your billing.
- Tick the checkbox confirming you've read and agree to the Terms and Conditions. It can take up to 5 days to verify an invitee's details before they can access their account.
- Click Invite. This stays disabled until you've added a file, a Role, at least one Payment Type, and the Terms and Conditions checkbox.
- Once the upload succeeds, invited people appear in your People list with a "Pending invite" status, with a "N invites pending" indicator near Invite People so you can add them to budgets or subscriptions.
What happens next
Invited people get an email with a link to create their Weel account. If someone already has a Weel account elsewhere, we contact them individually instead of through the standard invite email, but they still end up with an invite they can accept.
If any addresses have a problem, you'll see a table showing why: Already invited, Duplicate entry, or Invalid email. Fix the CSV and re-upload - no invites go out until the whole file passes.
