Your activation code is the 8-digit number on the sticker on the front of your physical Weel card. Enter it in the Weel app to activate the card for in-store tap and chip payments. It only applies to physical cards: your virtual card is ready to use the moment it's issued.
How It Works
- Where to find it: The 8-digit code is printed on the sticker on the front of your physical card.
- What it unlocks: Enter it in the Weel app to activate in-store tap and chip payments on that card.
- Virtual cards are unaffected: Your virtual card works online, and in your wallet if it's your Primary Card, from the moment it's issued.
- No need to wait for a status change: You can enter the code as soon as the card arrives, even if the app still shows Pending shipment.
- Not the same as a wallet code: The one-time code for adding a card to Apple Pay or Google Pay expires in 5 minutes and is unrelated.
Good to know
- Nium (Weel's card issuer) validates the code directly, so it works even if your app still shows Pending shipment rather than Requires activation, a status that's only set once the card ships from the printer.
