Steps
-
Check whether your mobile number has recently changed. Go to Settings > Profile to confirm the new number is showing correctly.
- Weel requires two-factor authentication (2FA) to change any personal detail, including your phone number. If that change didn't fully complete, your account may still be associated with your previous number, which is why the code isn't reaching your current device.
- If the wrong mobile number was entered when your account was created, contact us at help@letsweel.com so we can correct it.
- Check for SMS delivery issues, such as being overseas, mobile carrier outages, or country and region restrictions on receiving SMS codes.
-
Set up an authenticator app as an additional verification method. It's more secure and reliable than SMS, especially while travelling or overseas, since it doesn't depend on mobile carrier delivery. Go to Settings > Profile > Two-step authentication, select Add authenticator app, then scan the QR code or enter the setup key manually, and confirm with the 6-digit code it generates. See How to add an authenticator app as a verification method for the full walkthrough.
- Adding an authenticator app doesn't remove SMS. Both stay available, and you can select "Try another way" on the login screen to switch between them.
